Ohio plans to give $3 million to a business that's working to make an abuse-free prescription pain medication as part of an effort to reduce overdose deaths in the state. Elysium Therapeutics has work underway on "a new class of opioid pain relievers that protect individuals from oral misuse, abuse, and fatal overdose" to combat the opioid-overdose epidemic.
